I woke up early (3:30am) and could not sleep again so i got some questing done in eq2. Yesterday Game update 52 added a bunch of new quests that deal with the Order of Rime that have invaded Kunark from some unknown location.
At Dreg’s Landing in the middle of the camp the three new quest givers are there (Kilur Beardback, Mosi Panthira, and Beth Littlefort). You have to do the first quest from Kilur (Nosy Invaders) to get the others to give you quests). Nosy invaders is pretty easy near the camp (where the spiders are) you have to kill 6 guys.
Once you open up all three guys they each have 3 quests that progress their story arc eq2i http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Kylong_Plains_Timeline at the bottom has all the quests i won’t get in to them in to detail.
Kilur 3rd quest connect the Dots has you following the path of the Order of Rime to their secondary camp in Kylong Plains). Its slightly annoying because a lot of these guys are on top or large rocks that you have to get up to kill as the guy will not pop or aggro you when he pops unless you really close to him.
Other than that i got 50% aa and about a plat for these 9 quest. Each person ends with a house item. (an ice fire, an ice drum looking thing, and some scrolls).
Kilur last quest (Beardback’s hit list) and Beth’s last quest Chilled to the Bones are both repeatable, they both give roughly 15 gold and a house item and faction. (My faction was already at 50,000 and most people who did RoK should have 50K faction any way). So there not much point in doing the quest over again except for the gold. Not sure if you get another copy of the house items when you do the quest again.

Do you think these Order of Rime quests will stay in place past the expansion?
I’d hate to see them go. They put a lot of effort into getting these quests up, it seems senseless to take them down when the expansion releases.
Most likely they will be removed before the expansion comes out (most likely the next live update). They are trying to tell a story that will lead to the discovery of the next expansion. This is the first part of the story, and it will evolve overtime. This does mean that after a while the first part of the story will go away and get replaced by the next part.
