I’m a hardcore quester in Everquest 2, I’ve done over 1,600 quest since i started the game. I love doing quest because i love the lore of the game, the little side story’s a lot of people just skip over and stuff like that. But once you start doing a lot of quest the quest journal and quest walk though sites are not enough to keep everything in order. You’ll start to forget if you’ve done a certain quest and stuff like that. But luckily there are some very very very helpful tools out there that you can use.
The most Important tool for any quest is eq2.fluffy.dk … ya i know most of you have never heard of this site. This site has every single quest in the game (more than any other site) in the order that they appear in the quest journal. You make a charater there and go though your quest journal and mark every single quest you have completed and have started. After that you can see which quest you have not done in which zones. You can order the quest by level/zone/category, and all that. It take time to put all your quest on that site (a 4 or 5 hour when i first put my 1600 up there).
For instance you can see alist of quest i haven’t done here or a list of every quest i have done. I use that site religiously…. Once you put your quest up there it so much easier to see which zone you haven’t done quest in and go and do them. This site dosn’t tell you how to do the quest, i use eq2i.com for that.
Now that site is all good and stuff for quest, but for collection it not as easy. It not that easy to remember which collection parts you are missing when you got over 100 collection started. Ripchi’s Collection Tracking Sheet is uber for this. It is list every collection/book pages on the site. It tell you where every book page is. All you have to do is print it out and check off each collection part you have and which you don’t. And then next time you go to the broker you can just run down the list of collection part you need rather than scrolling though you collection quest list trying to figure out which one you need.
Together with eq2i.com these these 2 tools make questing much much easier. And for stat whore like my self.. give you instant gratification.
