Leveling in Aion is truly getting annoying. The last few days I’ve have avoided logging in to Aion because the grid is just to gridy for me now at level 19…. Level 19, this is sad, but it seem to get worse and worse every level. At level 16 a mob would give about 2K xp, and it only took 500K of xp to level. Now a mob give 3K of xp and i need almost a million to level, and from what i hear the game continues on that scale.
I don’t know if i want to pay the monthly fee for this game. While i’ve enjoyed my self getting to level 19 each level the game seem to be eating a part of the fun, and replacing it with mine numbing go kill 300 mobs to level so you can get 4 new quest and then kill 500 mobs to get to the next level….
At the same time i only log in to Eq2 right now to raid. Quest wise there really nothing left for me. Group wise my armor is better than anything that drops in a group zone. I am pretty much all T3 and T4 armor on my main, and raids have been slow ever since people quit the game. So i don’t really have much to do in the game….

I felt the grind even in the newbie zone of Aion is put me off a lot. I want to feel like I’m having to fight and struggle to play, I just don’t have the time in real life for that anymore.
Three weeks? THREE WEEKS? I got to 13 in one day, and spent half of that AFK. I wanted a game that doesn’t cater to carebears, and I got it. That is, until the qq-parade forces NCsoft to turn it into WoW.
Lvls 1-20 are not grinding. Like Haekon said, you can do 1-20 in 1 day or less if you don’t wander around aimlessly. In 3 weeks I was at lvl 40.
