First off the Coupon. The coupon get your 10 bucks off…. Sentinel’s Fate Digital Download ONLY. IE for the majority of users who have only 1 account, it useless. Unless you want to give SoE more money.
I honestly thing thats bullshit. SoE should let you use the 10 buck coupon on anything you wanted. If i wanted to use it to buy Planet Side i should be able to. If not at least on your advertisement say it only to buy for Sentinel Fate…
International Sales…. I live in American so i am not effected by this, but they are failing pretty bad on the international sales. And eq2Wire has information on that. Essentially out of the 3 retailers who normally would sell out side of the US, 2 of them will not. So International customers are left with 1 choice, and most likely will not get the boxes when early access starts.

The whole expansion looks like a mess and kinda puts me off going back. It’s like they just haven’t thought it through very well…
Just another 2 reasons to add to the list why I quit EQ2 3 months ago.The marketing team want to reach Europe but the bean counters upstairs step in and stop them everytime.
@ we fly spitfires, no they don’t look as if they really know where to take the game anymore do they.
I’m enjoying the game myself, but the expansion pre-launch is a fiasco for outside of America, they can advertise away as hard as they like but without any way to buy the game they’re not going to make the sales.
The problem SOE’s had outside of the US I think has been going on a long while now, you can see they used to sell in Europe by the old copies of EQ2 that are floating around that can more or less be used to date the last point SOE sold effectively. My guess is that they used to rely on EQ1 to drive all their sales with retailers coming to them, much like Blizzard can just announce an expansion today and expect every major retailer to be hammering on their door demanding to sell their products.
But when EQ1 faded away they never put the effort in to rebuild their retail presence, other companies with less successful MMO’s have their games in the shops, at least that’s my theory. Either way the problem really is SOE’s here, really hoping they can sort it out as something is badly wrong in SOE’s sales department for them to be missing out on 1/2 the world market.
