Yesterday I watched Avatar on Imax in 3D and damn was it amazing!!!!
I watched the Moive in downtown San Francisco at the Metreon (which used to be the Sony Metreon, a 4 story epic digital entertainment place… but Sony failed at that too).
We got their 25 minutes before the movie started (9:45AM) showing as the other were already sold out, and it was pretty crowed in there. Like I said before the movie was amazing to watch in 3D. The movie is completely in 3D, unlike some movies (Harry Potter I’m looking at you). The majority of the movie you don’t notice that it is in 3D. Yes people who are close up appear a little closer to you but not much. The 3D really stand out during the fly over scene. When one farther way object goes behind a closer object it really looks like your watching it in real life and not a movie were it is flat. Overall its a great movie go watch it

I too recently saw Avatar in 3D ,it was the 1st time iv’e seen a movie in 3D and it has set a new precedent in cinema entertainment for me. Unfortunately I shall now stare wistfully at non 3D flicks wishing they were 3D lol .
