I have 53 days before i leave on my month long vacation (and if you haven’t been able to tell yet i’m excited). Before i go i want to make some google maps of each of the cities that i am visting and map out of the interesting places to see. I don’t have the time to see them all but it would be good to know where they are so we can pick a few out as we go around.
I will have roughly 3… 2 and 1/2 day in London. I arrive at London at 7AM after an 12 hour flight (San Francisco to London leaves at 1PM gets there 7AM the next day).
For London i have the following map.

Blue points are museums:
- British Museum
- Tate Modern
- National Gallery
- Natural History Museum
- London Dungeon
Green are some places i want to vist
- The London Eye
- Tower of London
- Tower Bridge
- St Paul’s Cathedral
- Oxo Tower
- Big Ben
- Buckingham Palace
- 10 Downing Street
- King Crossing Station
- Piccadilly Circus
I also have the option going to Bath or Stonehenge. But that doing that will take roughly a day out of London (which is only 2 and 1/2 at the moment).
Are there any other place that pretty cool that i am missing?
Brighton is pretty cool – hour on the train from London, by the sea…
Has the pier(s), the Pavilion and a great vibe.

London has trains that go directly to Amsterdam.
Thats where I would go directly if I was in London.
Gerry’s Wines and Spirits is a pretty neat place: http://www.gerrys.uk.com/
I’d put the Imperial war museum on the list, its been years since I went there but it was very good, I think the royal armoury with more purely medieval stuff is up in Leeds though from memory.
For castles I’d recommend Bodiam castle to the south (its sort of not a real castle although it was built in the 15th century by a knight), Leeds castle to the east or Corfe castle if you ever visited Dorset (beautiful part of the world there). Although with 2 1/2 days I guess it makes more sense to stay in London as a trip to bath will take 3 hours by high speed train at best to get there.
