W00t so i got my Copy of Red Dead Redemption. As i thought if feels like GTA, but a being a western, so it was pretty easy to get in to.
Your first mission Exodus in America. You show up in blackwater coming off a boat with 2 police officer escorting you. It looks like your under arrest (i couldn’t tell). You ride the train in to Armadillo, which is this prefect looking old wild west town. You’ll learn how to ride a horse at this point. From here you’ll head up to Fort Mercer to tell Bill Williamson to surrender, and he and his gang shoot you… Game over.
But as luck would have it Bonnie MacFarlane and her father Drew find you and take you up to their ranch. Which starts the mission New Friends, Old Problems. This is pretty much a tutorial mission that will give you a tour of the ranch, and teach you how to shoot. I found out i suck pretty bad at shooting, and i’m still trying to figure out if there is a better way 5 hours in to the game.
Your next mission will be Obstacles in Our Path, which is a race mission, you’ll race Bonnie around the MacFarlane Ranch. Its about a 3 minute race. I lost it the first time because if you hit the side of one of the bridges that goes over the canon, you can wall in to the canon, and you and your horse will die. Falling 100 feet with a horse….. not fun. Race wise your only show 2 waypoints at a time. The closets you to you will have a smokefire off it. On the left of your health bar is your horse bar (I am not sure what to call it). The more you whip your horse the faster it will go (to a point). Each time you whip it you lose some of the bar, if the bar is in the red, you horse may throw you off of it. So you will want to whip the horse enough to beat Bonnie, but not so much that your horse throws you off, once you get up to speed, about once a second will give you optimal speed
At the end of this mission you you’ll have 2 mission open up for you.
