Spore: Cell Phase

The Cell Phase. Where you creatures life begins.

When you start off you’ll be given a random body, with 1 or 2 eyes, a mouth (carnivore, or herbivore). And little swimming arms. Very early on you’ll also unlock the ability to add spikes to your character. The game at this point is pretty simple. Eat, and grown, with out being eaten. There was a web game a year or 2 ago that is exactly like this.

Here is little Ogrebear after getting his first set of spikes.

Since i named my character Ogrebear, i wanted to be a pretty bad ass monster. My default color turned out to be pink (not so badass), but i Decided to keep the color all the way though the game. As a carnivore as you grown the creatures who once where trying to eat you become lunch.

Here i am getting some pay back.

Every time you mate you’ll be alow to totaly reconfigure you charater. You can pull every single part off there body and replace it when new parts. Even change the way the body looks. I decided to try to key my body staying similar though out the game.

Here i am getting my freak on.

As you get larger the Other creature tend to get more violent. You start being chased a lot of meat eaters who are bigger than you. Other creature have poison that they will use. And a lot of the herbivore are electric and can shock and stun you.

A few tips. You can have more than 1 mouth. Which mean you can keep eat both meat, and plants later on in this stage. This stage will also determine what type of mouths you can have for the rest of the game. If you eat only meat, you can only have carnivore mouths, only plants you get the herbivore mouth. If you eat a balance of both you get the Omnivore mouths. This also determines what you can eat at later stages.
