I thought the way Missions worked was that you could only do 1 mission a day. That turns out to be wrong.
It seems to be 1 mission per zone per day. But even that dosn’t seem right either now. On friday i picked up all 3 everforst zone missions and complete Scion of Ice on Friday. On Saturday the guy would not give me a new mission (which is ok since it was less than 24 hours before i did that zone again).
On saturday i did The Anathema turned in the mission, afterwards i did The Crucible right after turning in this mission the guy gave me another Crucible mission but none of the other 2 zones.
Sunday did all 3 zone and same thign The moment i finished Crucible i got the another Crucible mission.
So at the end of the week i got 1 mission for Scion of Ice and no new mission for this zone for over 36 hours. 1 mission for for Anathema, and 3 mission for Crucible (in a 36 hour period).
So i request the following from SoE. Have the NPC give you how long tell you can get your next mission for this zone. It will get rid of a lot of confustion that people are having.
Second if another mission is blocking you from getting a mission when someone shares it, please put the name of that mission so people can find it and delete it if they want.
In the end make it less confusing and easier for the user…

There has been a lot of discussion on this across various blogs and forums. I think that your request to explain how it works can not be done because it simply is not working correctly right now. From what I have read, most are convinced that the system is bugged. I just try to do as many instances that I haven’t had a chance to do yet to make it as long as possible before I do another one. So far, I have been lucky enough to not have at least one shard mission for any instance I am running.
